Welcome to Our church

At Duluth First United Methodist Church, we work hard to make sure that our Children's Ministry lays a strong foundation for families with little ones to develop a deep love and appreciation for Jesus. We do this by offering weekly Sunday school along with mission opportunities, Wednesday night Bible Study, fun events throughout the year and much more.

Sunday School

We offer age-appropriate lessons every Sunday at 9:30am for those 4 years old through 5th grade. Ages newborn through 2 years old are invited to stay in our nursery with our fully-trained childcare staff.

Wednesday Evenings

Visit us to be a part of our "Book Bunch" (ages 2-4) or "Duluth Kids" (ages K-5th grade) every Wednesday night from during the school year.

Additional Classes & Offerings

We offer a multitude of programs for children of all ages. Here are some additional ministries our church offers and ways to get in touch with the appropriate staff.

Acolytes

3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who serve at one of the three worship services to light candles and assist with the offertory, baptisms, and communion. Please call the church office at 770-476-3776 if interested.

Vacation Bible School

Offered during the summer for children Pre-K through 5th grade. Extreme VBS is available for fourth and fifth grade students to participate in June. Please email Leslie if interested at [email protected].

Scouting

Duluth First United Methodist Church is proud to host a number of different scouting opportunities for young children. Below are some of the programs we offer.

For boys and girls age Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Jesus made it very clear that children have a supreme place of importance in all our lives when He said, “Let the children come to me and do not hinder them for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:14).
